About This Space

We sit in Vallo di Nera, a hillside medieval village of around 355 inhabitants overlooking the green, water-rich Valnerina valley in Umbria. The village is recognized as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy and carries an Orange Flag from the Italian Touring Club. Our rooms are spread through traditional restored Umbrian homes fitted with modern comforts, many looking out over the village corners or the valley below, and we're roughly two hours from both Rome and Tuscany.

What This Place Offers

The Community 🤙

We live spread across a handful of houses in the medieval village of Vallo di Nera, just a 1-3 minute walk apart through the cobbled streets. Our days mix focused work with shared pasta nights, sunset hikes, and group activities, and we lean into the village's family-run cafe and restaurants. We grow veggies in our own garden and cook together in the shared kitchen, building a sustainable, inclusive little community. It's relaxed, social, and rooted in everyday Umbrian life.

We have a dedicated coworking space with spacious desks and a quiet, inspiring setting looking out over the green hills. The internet is the real draw: a 10 Gigabit fiber connection that makes remote work effortless. When we want a change of scene, we work from the communal yard, patio, or the lounge with its mix of modern and classic Italian furnishings. It's an easy environment to stay productive and then step straight into village life.

Location

We're a diffused coliving spread across restored medieval homes in the village of Vallo di Nera, so social areas, coworking, and private bedrooms sit within a three-minute walk of each other rather than in a single building. We share a kitchen, a lounge, coworking space, and bicycles, pull seasonal vegetables from our garden, and head out together on weekend excursions. The village has a cafe, a grocery store, and two family-run restaurants, and we run on 10-gigabit fiber internet.
